Susan MeiselasSusan Meiselas (born in Baltimore, 1948) is a documentary photographer based in New York. She received her BA from Sarah Lawrence College and her MA in visual education from Harvard University. Her first book, Carnival Strippers, was pulished in 1976. That year, Meiselas joined Magnum Photos, where she remains a member, and since 2007 has served as president of the Magnum Foundation. Her numerous awards include a Guggenheim Fellowship, Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize, and the first Women in Motion Award from Kering and Rencontres d’Arles. Read More Read Less
