Sunil Prasad

Dr. Sunil Prasad, has completed his B.A. (Hons) from Kirorimal College, M.S.W. from Delhi School of Social Work, University of Delhi, UGC NET Qualified, and his Ph.D. from (Visva Bharati University). His areas of specialization and research interets include Rural Community Development, sustainable livelihood, and Social Work Education.

Dr. Sunil has received “Bharat Yuva Samman” in the year 2025 for his contribution to the field of social work in the North Eastern States. He has received recognition from his excellency, the Governor of Sikkim, Shri Ganga Prasad Ji, and from the Honourable Chief Minister of Sikkim, Shri P.S. Golay Ji, for community service and social work, in the year 2022. He was also awarded the “Best Social Work Practitioner “Award in the year 2023.

He is the editor of two books. His publications include articles in reputed Scopus-listed journals, UGC listed Journals, study material chapters for Master's in Social Work Curriculum for Open Universities, book chapters in books by International and National Publishers, Newspapers, and magazines. He has also worked as a consultant with many other organizations in different capacities and delivered invited lectures in various academic forums.
