Prof. Baral has been applauded as a pragmatic visionary, who works to comprhend the social and economic factors that sustain poverty cycles and sustainable marketing practices globally in order to assist in the development and assessment of different successful social programmes. He has developed a novel approach to deliver by elucidating the connections and contributory ties between policy, poverty, behaviour, entrepreneurship and socio-economic status through the combination of creative field experiments and rigorous empirical analysis through international collaborations. Prof. Baral has working exposure with governments, multinational non-governmental organisations, corporations & academic institutions through different programmes. He is also a NAAC Assessor (Peer-team Member), Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India and significantly, has contributed a National Level Policy Paper on Higher Education Scenario of Chhattisgarh State to the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
