Steven SedleySteven Sedley is a writer whose diverse career has encompassed teaching, publishing, editing, and bookselling. He is the author of the story collection Beethoven in Tirau and other stories, and has written biographical accounts of several significantbut overlooked figures in New Zealand's cultural history. His monograph on German-New Zealand composer Richard Fuchs helped rescue a largely forgotten artist from obscurity, leading to performances of Fuchs's music in New Zealand and Germany, a documentary film, and renewed research in Austria.
