Steven R SmithSteven R. Smith, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist and associate professor in the Department of Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology and the College of Creative Studies at UC-Santa Barbara. He formerly served as the Co-DCT of the PGSP-tanford PsyD Consortium of Palo Alto University. He earned his BA from Beloit College and his doctorate from the University of Arkansas and completed his internship and fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. His clinical and research interests are in the areas of psychotherapy with boys and men, personality assessment, healthy youth sport participation, and the psychological needs of athletes.
