Steve PraterSteve Prater is a retired architect living in Ames, Iowa. He was raised in New York and then adopted by the Mid-west in 1970. He studied at Iowa State University and the University of Minnesota and practiced architecture and planning for fifteen year in Minnesota. In 1994, he moved with his wife and three children back to Iowa to work as a staff architect for the Facilities Planning and Management department at his alma mater. This position allowed Steve and his family to rejoin some of his extended family, including his brother, Tom, whom this book is about.
