Stephen Pfahler

Stephen Pfahler has served as a Superior Court Judge for the State of California for the past eighteen years. He has been widely recognized as one of the most respected and professional judges. In 2024, he was honored as Judge of he Year in Los Angeles County, the largest county court system in the nation. Prior to that, he practiced law for over sixteen years and was recognized as a Super Lawyer. Judge Pfahler is heavily involved in the community, including serving for six years as Police Commissioner for the City of Calabasas, sitting on the Executive Board for the non-profit, Kiss The Ground, and teaching Public Policy and the Law at the University of Southern California. Combining his love for the law with his passion for helping people optimize their lives, Pfahler became a certified life coach, studied positive psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, and is a frequent speaker about lawyer and personal wellbeing. He also serves on the Mindfulness and Wellness Committee for the California Judges Association. Pfahler lives in Los Angeles, California, with his wife, three kids, and a dog.
