Stephen M HonigStephen M. Honig is an author and attorney. His chronology is deceptively predictable, growing up just before the Boomer generation in ethnic Brooklyn, New York, trodding through two intense Ivy League experiences at Columbia and Harvard, practicing or decades as a corporate attorney in Boston, experiencing the suburban life, the urban life, the requisite divorce, and four children who have their own success stories. He is a skillful observer of time and place unique in America, has more than a passing familiarity with the underworld, an ear and eye for the ethnic fabric of cities, and has traveled around the globe including two unusual trips to Russia, once on a mission and once as a professor. There were a lot of card games along the way, a few racing horses, the usual traumas with women and with life, some experiences in law that do not fit any mold, and an abiding passion to convey the texture of normality and of the sicknesses of the human condition. Stephen has published three volumes of poetry: Messing Around with Words, Rail Head and Obligatory COVID Chapbook. This is his first prose publication. He resides in Newton, MA with his wife, youngest son and recalcitrant dog, occupying a household wherein he holds the fourth spot in the hierarchy. Read More Read Less
