Hi, I'm Stephen!

Born in Romford, Essex, England in the year 1948. I lived in Essex until 1988 and then moved to Lincoln in Lincolnshire, England. My work history is varied, predominantly customer-facing roles. This gave me n insight into how people relate to each other and the world around them. In 2003, I attended a creative writing course. My tutor, Karen Maitland, an established author was an inspiration and gave me the incentive to write. Unfortunately, family and work commitments put the brakes on at that time. Now I am retired and have picked up my pen again. My intention is to write in a number of different genres. Unlike many writers who stick to specific genres such as crime or romance. My writing style is light and not padded out to fill extra chapters. I dislike those books that waffle on until you lose track of the plot. I always resisted reading, mainly because every book I found was generic and seemed like something I'd read before. The characters and locations were changed, but the plot was the same. Nothing was standing out as unique and fresh stories were unavailable.
