Stephanie Hafferty MCIHort is an expert edible gardener, homesteader, garden designer and award winning garden and food writer. She is a columnist and feature writer for national and international publications.

Stephanie specialises in groing food year round, affordably, using sustainable methods, and creating recipes for what to do with the harvests. With decades of practical gardening and homesteading experience, she runs courses across the UK and beyond, and has created and worked in organic kitchen gardens on private estates, community gardens, market gardens and for restaurants, as well as in home plots and allotments. Named as one of the Leading Women in Horticulture in 2025, Stephanie is currently working on her third book and creating a new homestead in rural Wales.
