Stephan Frühling is the Associate Dean Education in the College of Asia and Pacific at the Australian National University, and Associate Professor at the Strategic and Defence Studies Centre. His work focuses on Australian defence policy, nuclea weapons, and US alliances. Stephan was a member of the Australian Government’s External Panel of Experts on the 2016 Defence White Paper, and is the author of Defence Planning and Uncertainty (2014) and A History of Australian Defence Policy Since 1945 (2009).
