Sonja Luehrmann holds an M.A. in cultural anthropology from the University of Frankfurt, Germany and is currently a doctoral candidate in anthropology and history at the University of Michigan. She has published articles on colonilism in the Arctic, as well as on religion and globalization in contemporary Russia.
