Sonja GreenSonja resides in Texas on a small acreage called 'Green Acres'. She is a retired Oncology RN with 30 years of practice behind her as a nurse. She is also a mother of 4 daughters and a grandmother. She wrote and self published her first book in 2010. It was a book on health practices and simple ways to improve health. She wrote her second book about a family stallion named Easter. He was an integral part of the family for 28 years of his life. This horse demonstrated love in many ways and everyone that rode him felt his love and protection. After writing this book she realized that children need something good to read. Something to foster the love of reading for pleasure and educational value. Her newest project is a series called "Life on Green Acres". Each book features a grandchild and an animal that they encountered on Green Acres. These are not typical animals found on a farm. The animals include hummingbirds, lizards, roadrunners, and even jackrabbits. She hopes that this new found passion to write children's books will somehow make a difference and encourage young readers to develop a true love of reading and learning. Read More Read Less
