Sondra GraySondra was born and raised in Boaz, a small town in northern Alabama, where she attended school and college. She met Walter and they were married in l964. Shortly afterward, they moved to Hunts-ville where she continued her education at the Universit of Alabama. Walter passed away in 2019. They have three sons and five grandchil-dren. They were independent truckers, leased to a company in Missouri where Sondra currently resides. She attends Cherry Grove Baptist Church in Buffalo, MO where she is pianist. Although she has been writing short stories and poetry primarily for young readers for a number of years, Accord-ing to Punkin is her first book. In her spare time, she does a variety of crafts, such as sewing. She enjoys a number of hobbies including camping, riding motorcycles, and gardening, but her favorite one is writing.
