Somak Chatterjee

Dr. Somak Chatterjee is currently an Assistant Professor in the Chemical Engineering Department at BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, Rajasthan, since 2019. He obtained his PhD and M.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Karagpur, and his B.Tech from Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata. Before joining BITS Pilani, he served as a Senior Scientist at Filtrex Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, and as a Senior Engineer at Tech Mahindra Technology Centre, Hyderabad. Dr. Chatterjee has enriched his academic journey with research and industrial internships at renowned institutions such as the University of Dusseldorf, University of Zaragoza in Spain, and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., Haldia Refinery. His research interests span various aspects of chemical engineering, reflecting his dedication to both academia and industry.
