Simon DemostheneSimon Demosthene is a pastor, educator, author, and ministry leader with more than three decades of experience at the intersection of faith, culture, and spiritual formation. Raised in a Christian home in Haiti, he grew up within a complex religious nvironment where ancestral spiritual practices and diverse Christian expressions existed side by side. His understanding of these ancestral spiritual realities emerged not from personal participation in such practices, but through his father's experience, the experiences of extended family members, his ministry to individuals who struggled after leaving such practices, and the study of countless testimonies. This background gave him early insight into how spiritual belief systems, fear, and cultural inheritance can shape identity and community life.A formative influence on his spiritual journey was his father, Reverend Jean Maxi Demosthene, whose conversion to Christianity marked a decisive break from ancestral spiritual systems. After moving to the United States, Demosthene gained experience across a wide range of professional, educational, cultural, and ministry settings over more than three decades. His work has included service in both Baptist and Pentecostal contexts, as well as leadership and collaboration across nonprofit organizations, adult learning initiatives, and community arts programs. In 2009, he founded the Global Reach Evangelical Missionary Church (GREMC), a multicultural ministry serving immigrant families and individuals seeking spiritual healing, clarity of faith, and renewed purpose.
