Shelley MitchellShelley wrote Brave Bandanas for her son Kody who had an assignment at school. *Thank you Mrs. Whetstine* Kody lived to be 22 when he died in his sleep due to blood clots and heart failure. This book is dedicated to him. Shelley has written several pems for her children and a song that is featured in her book The Kindergarten Koala. She had a newspaper column called Peechz Pen in the Cabool Enterprise for a short time. "Peechz" is her granny name-her granny used to call her "peach fuzz" when she was a little girl. Shelley and her husband Mark, who have been married for 30 years, live in the small town of Cabool in south-central Missouri.
