Her research focuses on the relations between armed conflicts, political violence, and therole of courts, using socio-legal approaches including trial ethnography. She is the author of The Role of National Courts in Applying International Humanitarian Law (2014) and the President on Trial: Prosecuting Hissène Habré (co-edited, 2020).
