Sharon Dawn SelbySharon Selby was born on a cold winter morning in 1973 and for eighteen years lived in the small town of Manitou, Manitoba. She remembers her childhood with great fondness but, as a teenager, dreamed of leaving her hometown and moving to the "big cit." So, as soon as the ink was dry on her high school diploma, Sharon packed her bags and returned to the city of her birth to attend the University of Manitoba. Her desire to see other places didn't end in Winnipeg. In 2004, she traveled to England where she spent a year teaching high school. From there, Sharon moved to Edinburgh where she completed a doctorate in English Literature. Canadian English Literature, to be precise.
