Sharif Ahmed MukulDr Sharif Ahmed Mukul is currently affiliated with the University of the Sunshine Coast and the University of Queensland, Australia as a post-doctoral research fellow. Dr. Mukul's previous research was on sustainable use, management, and conservationof tropical forests and biodiversity. He has over 10 years of working experience in tropical forests of Bangladesh, Nepal, Philippines and Australia. At present, he is more enthusiastic about the potential role of forests and other less modified landscapes as an ecological niche, their contribution in ecosystem functioning, and the role of various human activities on their structure and performance. Dr. Mukul has published extensively in leading international journals in forestry, ecology, and environment. He is one of the reviewers of the IPCC's Fifth Assessment Report.
