Sean KullmanSean Kullman has taught middle school, high school, and college English at different points of his teaching career. He left teaching in 2014 to pursue writing, research, and advocacy on behalf of boys, and to become involved in helping youth groups. His leadership in athletic programs has improved sports for boys and girls in his community, dramatically increasing the participation of girls in youth basketball and forwarding the careers of coaches into the high school ranks. Some of the players in his youth program have played or are playing at the collegiate level.Sean has become the go-to person for actualizing data on male development. His research and presentations have helped policymakers, writers, researchers, media, educators, parents, other non-profits, and advocates to understand the challenges boys face and the steps needed for our boys to thrive. His writings have appeared in major media such as the New York Times, Kansas City Star, and are regularly featured on his InHisWords substack.Sean has appeared on television and radio and spoken at conferences and universities, most recently at the University of New Mexico. Sean has personally facilitated several town halls to explore boys' issues and travels throughout the country to bring this important information to the public.
