Satya KumarDr. Satya Kumar born on 15th April 1967 in Kanpur, is an emiennt extension Plant Protection Scientist, did his M.Sc. from G.B. Pant Univ. of Agri. & Tech., Pantnagar and Ph.D. from CSA. Univ. of Agri. & Tech, Kanpur. He served G.B. Pant Uni. of Agri.& Tech., Pantnagar with various capacities, Dr. Kumar is well known for his extension activities and made aware of new agricultural technologies to the farmers of Uttarakhand. He worked as Professor and Incharge P.R.B.C., Khanna Farm, Bhagwanpur U.S. Nagar. He identified new insect, disease and nematode problems in the state Uttarakhand region and demonstrated various newer techniques/technologies to minimise the losses caused by above biotic factors. Production technology for certified seeds of Kufri Jyoti and Kufri Giriraj was demonstrated in farmers fields. Cultivation of aromatic and medicinal plants was introduced in Uttarakhand hills to benefit the local and marginal farmers.
