Samuel Shephard

Samuel Shephard is professor of biology at Ave Maria University, where he directs the academic minor in agriculture and Catholic environmental stewardship. His research focuses on sustainable fishing, hunting, and other outdoor practices that connect people to nature and develop a sense of place, local knowledge, and care. He hosts a podcast called The Catholic Guide to Sustainable Living. He is coauthor of Christian Environmental Stewardship: Rediscovering Place, Practice, and Virtue.
