Salvador Del Rey

Salvador del Rey is a professor of Labour and Employment Law, chair of the Global Employment Institute of the International Bar Association (IBA), a partner of the Cuatrecasas, Gon�alves Pereira law firm in Madrid and Barcelona (Spain) and he president of the Cuatrecasas International Institute for Legal Strategy on Human Resources. He is the director of the Labor Law Department of ESADE Law School (Barcelona). Mr Del Rey has his Doctor of Laws with special distinction (University of Seville), and he holds a Master of Science Degree in Industrial and Labor Relations (Cornell University, New York). He is admitted to the Madrid and Barcelona Bar Associations. Salvador del Rey has been elected one of the ten most highly regarded lawyers at international level. Mr Del Rey's professional practice covers all national and international aspects of labour law, prevention of occupational hazards and social security. He specializes and has extensive experience in organizational change and the modification of working conditions, group transfers, decentralization, downsizing, legal configuration of compensation systems, labour implications of company takeovers and spin-offs, legal aspects of introducing new technologies, and labour aspects of cross-border corporate restructuring. Mr Del Rey has been a member of several experts committees appointed by the Spanish Government on draft bills on different labour issues. In 2001, he was a member of a European Union group of experts that analysed the implementation of a European system of labour mediation and arbitration for cross-border disputes. He is the former chair of the IBA Employment and Industrial Relations Law Committee, and he is also a member of the IBA Human Resources Section Board and the IBA Corporate Social Responsibility Committee. Mr Del Rey is a regular lecturer, both nationally and internationally, on labour and employment and HR issues. He is the author of numerous legal publications.
