S. L. KochharS. L. Kochhar obtained his master's degree from Punjab University, Chandigarh, where he was awarded the prestigious Atomic Energy Commission Scholarship. He taught courses in economic botany and plant physiology at Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College University of Delhi, for more than four decades (1965–2009).
