Rupert CoxRupert Cox is Lecturer in Visual Anthropology at the University of Manchester and a cameraman, editor and sound editor. His previous publications include The Zen Arts: An Anthropological Study of the Culture of Aesthetic Form in Japan( Routledge, 202) and The Culture of Copying in Japan: Critical and Historical Perspectives (Routledge, 2007). He is responsible for various sound recordings including Two Farms in Toho for The Wire, a leading publication for recorded music and also films such as Air Pressure: Narita Airport 1973-2010 which was featured at the 2011 Royal Anthropological Institute Film Festival. He has organized various art exhibitions include 2007's Castaways, a sound and visual art collaboration which was displayed for two months at the Whitworth art gallery in Manchester.
