Ruby Langford GinibiRuby Langford Ginibi was born at the Box Ridge Mission, Coraki, on the north coast of New South Wales in 1934. She was raised in Bonalbo and went to high school in Casino where she finished second form. At age fifteen she moved to Sydney and qualifie as a clothing machinist. Her first child was born when she was seventeen. She has a family of nine children and raised them mostly by herself. Three of her adult children have died, two within eight months of each other. For many years she lived in tin huts and camped in the bush around Coonabarabran, working at fencing, burning off, lopping and ring-barking, and pegging kangaroo skins. At other times she lived in the Koori areas of Sydney and worked in clothing factories. She is the grandmother of twenty children.
