Roy A MealsRoy Meals is an orthopedic surgeon and an avid outdoor enthusiast. He grew up in suburban Kansas City, attended Rice University (BA). and Vanderbilt University (MD). He performed his orthopedic surgery residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital and hand surery fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. Along the way, he served as a general medical officer (Major) in the USAF before joining the faculty at UCLA, where he continues to practice, teach, investigate, and write about the musculoskeletal system. He has served as editor in chief for the Journal of Hand Surgery and as President of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
