Rosalam SarbatlyRosalam Hj Sarbatly is a Professor of Chemical and Environmental Engineering and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). He is widely recognized for his expertise in membrane and nanofiber technologies forwater purification, wastewater treatment, and sustainable environmental systems. In 2024, he founded the Nanomaterials Research Centre at UMS, establishing a national platform for advanced research in functional nanomaterials and green membrane innovation. He holds a Ph.D. in Membrane Technology from the University of Bath, UK, and is a registered Professional Engineer. Prof. Rosalam has received numerous accolades, including the Top Research Scientist of Malaysia Award (2020), IChemE Sustainability Award (2021), Sabah Scientist Award (2023), and Tun Chancellor Award of UMS (2023).
