Ronald L WinterRonald Lee Winter was born to Clarence "Jack" Winter and Ruby Prellwitz in 1943 in Neenah, Wisconsin. After the death of his father, Ronald and his mother moved to Appleton, Wisconsin. He attended various public grade schools in Appleton. In 1957, he began his freshman year at Fox Valley Lutheran High School in Appleton. He attended Northwestern College in Watertown, Wisconsin from 1961-1966. After college, he enrolled in Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Thiensville (Mequon), Wisconsin and graduated in 1970. Upon graduation, he was called to be the pastor at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Monroe, Michigan. In 1985, he was called to be the pastor of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Town of Maine (rural Wausau), Wisconsin. Later, in 1999, he also became the pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church (a dual parish with Grace Luth.) in the Town of Berlin, Wisconsin. In 2010, he retired and moved to Appleton. Currently, he conducts worship services twice a month at Park View Healthcare Center in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.Ronald Winter is a former member of the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets and is a current member of S.A.W. (Shawano Area Writers group). His published works are: "Behold, a Blind Man Speaks" (published in the Christian News newspaper, New Haven, MO), "The Four Horsemen" (published in America Sings, 1967, National Poetry Press), "Grace 125" (published in Through Furrowed Fields, 1976), and "On Wisconsin" as well as "The Mirror" (both published in the Shawano Area Writers 50th Anniversary Anthology, 2016).Ronald Winter enjoys doing artwork, building World War I and World War II dioramas, gardening, and spending time with his grandson. He loves translating German documents (handwritten or printed), doing genealogy research, and attending Bible classes. He also loves all things German, classical music, and chocolate.His book, Songs, Sermons, and Such, is a collection of original hymn texts, sermons, and miscellaneous items assembled from over 40 years of ministry. The book took 10 years of reviewing, editing, and re-editing. It is offered to the glory of God and for the edification of Christians everywhere. Read More Read Less
