An early influence was "The Lorax" by Dr., Seuss, particularly the lines: "Unless someone like you cares an awful lot, nothing is going to ge better. It's not." I have spent my entire adult life working on environmental projects, usually in remote locations. This life experience informs my writing. This chapbook describes stops along the arc of my life, from childhood to the present. In retirement, I volunteer in a number of environmental endeavors including working with a local land trust, environmental monitoring, citizen science and funding grass roots environmental non-profits. My wife and I live in a small town in the Sacramento Valley close to the Northern Sierra Nevada foothills, where I spend a lot of time with my muse. Read More Read Less
