Robert P. SuttonROBERT P. SUTTON is Professor of History at Western Illinois University where he has taught since 1970. His fields of expertise include American legal history, communal utopias, and Illinois history. From 1990 to 1998, he was on the Board of Director of the National Communal Studies Association, and in 1999 he was presented with that organization's Donald E. Pitzer Distinguished Service Award.
