Robert DreeszenBob Dreeszen, or Ugashik Bob, joined the Navy in June of 1961. Author Lance Brewer describes Ugashik Bob thusly: There is only one attribute about Ugashik Bob that exceeds his tenacity and toughness, his intelligence. After being tested extensively b the Navy, he was among a select few to serve as an Aviation Electricians Mate. After leaving the Navy, Ugashik Bob began his career with IBM, in Rochester, Minnesota, as a Senior Large Systems Engineer. In February of 1983, Bob was transferred to Anchorage. In September of 1985, Bob went on a fishing trip to Southwest Alaska, to the Ugashik Narrows. It was love at first bite. Ugashik Bob absolutely had to find a plot of land upon which to build he and his wife, Carol, a home. In May of 1986, Ugashik Bob and Carol started building their home just below the lower Ugashik Lake, in Ugashik, Alaska, where the majority of the photographs in the Back Story Alaska were taken.
