Robert de YoungDr. Robert de Young has postgraduate qualifications in literary studies and has taught extensively in Australian universities in radio production, television and documentary production, film, and literary studies. He has worked for ABC radio and teleision as a director, producer, and executive producer before working freelance as a writer, producer, and director of documentary films. He has made feature-length films about actors Errol Flynn, Peter Finch, Rod Taylor, Jerry Lewis, rock journalist Lillian Roxon, producer Sam Spiegel, and the hundred-year history of Tarzan in film, television, and popular culture. These films have screened in international film festivals and been broadcast throughout the world.
