Robert Booth WilesRobert Wiles is a senior lecturer in the Rural Clinical School at the Australian National University and is the rural academic co-ordinator for the Snowy Mountains region south of Canberra, a role he has had for the past 20 years. After graduating frm the Faculty of Medicine, University of Sydney, he spent five years in the United Kingdom pursuing post-graduate studies in obstetrics, anaesthetics, orthopaedics and general practice before returning to Australia. He has been a rural generalist in Cooma for 35 years during which time he has, for varying periods, been a visiting medical officer in emergency medicine, anaesthetics, obstetrics and in-patient care at the Cooma District Hospital in conjunction with general practice. He has been a medical educator in undergraduate and postgraduate rural medicine throughout this period.He has been married for over 35 years with four adult children and three grandchildren and has been involved with Christian schooling for over 25 years.He has a passion for teaching and learning in Medicine and Science which, over the past 20 years has extended into exploring and understanding the information that defines our universe.
