Robb MontgomeryRobb Montgomery is an American journalism educator, visual media anthropologist, and award-winning documentary filmmaker based in Berlin. He advances scholarship in visual media anthropology at Media University in Berlin, with peer-reviewed research on virtual intimacy and spatial ethnography published in the Journal of Visual and Media Anthropology. He has taught and developed applied media curricula for the Singapore University of Social Sciences, the FH Wien School of Journalism, the Danish School of Journalism, the EFJ School of New Journalism in Paris and Stockholm, Stockholm University, Indiana University Media School, Ohio University's Scripps School, and Eastern Illinois University.His work spans documentary filmmaking, newsroom innovation, and global media development. His films Sophie Sutton and Ice Swimming won Best Documentary honors at international festivals.
