Richard MarcsRichard Marcs was born in Reykjavik, Iceland, and moved to the United States at a young age. After graduating from Cornell University with a PhD in philosophy, he joined the U.S. Navy. His first assignment was aboard a submarine in the North Atlantic After two years, he was transferred to Naval Intelligence, where he worked for the next 18 years. Upon his retirement from the Navy, he worked for various intelligence agencies all over the world before finally settling in Australia, where he took a position at the University of Walamaloo as head of the Philosophy department.After the huge success of his first novel, 'If There's Anybody Watching', Marcs retired and moved to the island of Bali to continue writing. While he occasionally volunteers to teach creative writing classes at Bali High School, most of his time is spent with his beautiful wife and their two puppies.
