Christie had a long career, where he owned and operated a company that commissioned, validated and certified both commercial and industrial environmental systems including clean rooms for hospitals and pharmaceutical manufacturers. Both doestic and international, it included many years traveling and working abroad. For more than 50 years, when he was at home, he spent many winters weekends volunteering as an active Certified member of the National Ski Patrol.
