Ricardo Pacheco CoutinhoRicardo Jorge Pacheco Coutinho is a guest lecturer at the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave (IPCA), in Barcelos, Portugal, and President of the Board of the Círculo Vital Association. He holds a Master's degree in Tourism Management from IPCA ad is currently pursuing a PhD in Tourism at the University of Vigo, Spain. His research focuses on the management of social and cultural institutions, sustainable tourism, and the influence of international volunteering on the image of tourist destinations. Ricardo has over 10 years of experience in managing international projects, coordinating teams, and training young people. His most recent publications address the impact of empathy and social connection in tourism and the importance of international volunteering for the image of tourist destinations.
