Rebecca Plotnick
In 2008, Rebecca Plotnick found herself laid off and out of a job. A self-taught photographer, she decided to create an Etsy shop featuring her work and quickly found that her photographs of Paris were most popular with her customers. With his in mind, Rebecca decided to head to the City of Lights in 2009, camera in hand. She hit the cobblestone streets, picking up tips from her favorite local restaurant and immersing herself in the sights and sounds. Between taking photographs of landmarks and daily activities, she began learning the French language and fell deeply in love with the nuances of the culture that speaks it. After arriving home, Rebecca launched a wildly successful online photography print shop that offered captivating pictures of Parisian streets, landmarks, and day-to-day details. In 2013, she decided to pack up all her belongings and left Chicago for what would become a nomadic way of living between the United States and France. Everyday Parisian was founded in 2016 as a result of this desire to meld the French lifestyle with American surroundings and to create a community with a shared love for Paris. It highlights the fun and new ways to "frenchify" daily life, offers travel recommendations, shares fashion inspiration, and much more. Paris Every Day is Rebecca's first book.
