Rajib MitraRajib Mitra is a Ph.D. Research Scholar in the Department of Geography & Applied Geography, University of North Bengal since 2017. He has completed his master's degree from Department of Geography & Applied Geography, University of North Bengal Univesity with achieved University Gold Medal and Bidhuranjan Adhikary Memorial Medal for securing first position in first class in Geography and Applied Geography in the Master of Arts Examination in 2015. He also achieved 'Best Paper Award' in Technical Session-1 of the ICSSR-ERC Sponsored National Seminar on 'Urbanization, Urban Environment and Sustainability in Himalayan and Sub-Himalayan Region' held on July 1-2, 2023 and 'Best Poster Award' in the Scientific Poster Competition in the International Seminar on 'Recent Advancement in Geographical Studies: A Multidimensional Outlook' held on September 1-2, 2023. His areas of interest are: hydrological modelling, fluvial geomorphology, groundwater, flood, drought analysis, sustainable watershed management, and application of remote sensing and GIS in geomorphological studies. He has published more than 30 scholarly articles (Total Citation: 180, H-index: 7, i10-index: 5) in reputed national and international journals; participated in more than 15 national and international seminars, conferences and webinars; and completed more than 10 workshops and training programmes.
