Rachel BublitzRachel Bublitz is an award-winning and internationally produced playwright known for telling stories about women and creating exciting new work for young performers. She has received a Rolling World Premiere with the National New Play Network, and iscurrently the resident playwright of the Egyptian YouTheatre in Park City, Utah. Her plays include: Ripped (produced by Z Space and Good Company Theatre), The Night Witches (commissioned by Egyptian YouTheatre, with over fifty productions worldwide), Burst (produced by Alleyway Theatre), The Summer I Howled (commissioned and developed with Egyptian YouTheatre), and many more. Awards include: Will Glickman Award for Best Bay Area Premiere (Ripped), Shubert Fendrich Memorial Playwriting Contest (Cheerleaders VS. Aliens), and PlayGround's June Anne Baker Prize (Reading Babar in 2070). She has just over a dozen titles with Stage Partners: The Book Women, The Hardy Girls, Of Serpents and Sea Spray, The Red House Monster, Midnight Bandits (included in Rogues' Gallery), I Said Run. (included in It's Her Say), and Holly, Jolly, and Extra Folly, a collection of ten-minute holiday plays all by Rachel.
