Prof. Frances Ruane

Prof. Frances Ruane, Director of the ESRI, has previously lectured in the Department of Economics in Trinity College Dublin, where she also held the posts of Director of the Policy Instituteand Director of the MSc programme in Economic Policy Studies. She has extensive experience of the Irish policy process having worked in the IDA and the Central Bank of Ireland, and having served on numerous boards and participated in governmental advisory committees/groups.She has written extensively on Irish policy issues and has recently contributed a paper to Administration on the issue of evidence for policy.
