Pralok GuptaPralok Gupta is working as an Associate Professor (Services and Investment) at the Centre for WTO Studies, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi. Dr Gupta has a PhD degree in Economics and Social Sciences from IIMBangalore. He has been a visiting and full-time faculty member at various Indian institutions, including the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce. Dr Gupta has been appointed as member of the Task Force on Services Sector Exports, Ministry of Commerce, Government of India; Member (Sectoral Expert) of the Inter Ministerial Sub-Group on Data in Trade in Services, Ministry of Commerce, Government of India; and member of the Technical Group on Data in Trade in Services under the chairmanship of the Director General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics. He has been associated with various consultancy and research projects for corporate bodies, the government and international and multilateral institutions, such as the OECD, the British High Commission, UKIERI, European University Institute, South African Institute of International Affairs, etc. His research interests include economics of services trade, FDI in services, regulatory environment and trade policies, WTO and related Issues, trade and environment concerns, and international migration.
