Peter MewsPETER MEWS was born in Perth in 1961. Since then he has lived in Singapore, New Jersey, London and Melbourne. He graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1984. After this he worked as a researcher for a television cop show, a theatre usher and abookseller. He is a co-owner of The Brunswick Street Bookstore in Melbourne. He works during the day and writes most nights. He is currently undertaking a Master's degree and has joined the editorial board of the literary magazine RePublica . Maritime is his first novel.
