Peter LumpkinsPeter Lumpkins presently serves as Director of TMU Press and Associate Professor of History and Christian Studies at Truett McConnell University in Cleveland, Georgia. He has served as Senior Pastor and/or Executive Pastor in Tennessee, Kentucky, Geogia and Arkansas. Lumpkins holds a B.A. with a concentration in Religion & Philosophy; an MDiv with a concentration in Systematic Theology; a DMin in Expository Preaching; and a PhD in Church Polity & History. In addition to authoring two previous books and publishing in peer-reviewed journals, Lumpkins served as contributing editor to another volume and is presently working on a history of the Free Church movement.
