Peter C HorrellPeter C. Horrell was born in England in 1936. He served in the British Army in Kenya in the mid-50s during the Mau Mau conflict. As a traveller and adventurer, he hiked around Europe, immigrated to Australia and later moved to New Zealand in the earl 60s. In New Zealand he had what he calls a "Damascus Road" encounter with Christ. He felt a call to foreign missionary service and spent time at the Missionary Training College in Tasmania, where he met his future wife, Caroline. Together they served in South America and Spain. Upon their return to Australia, Peter completed his theological studies at the Baptist Theological College of Queensland. He has been a Baptist pastor of churches in Australia and New Zealand. He has written several Christian articles, including his soon-to-be-published autobiography. His interests are poetry, archaeology, early European history and succulents.
