Pauleen BrownGrowing up in a small town, called Oxnard, in a family of ten has been rewarding. The Camp Fire Girls Organization has become a big part of my childhood since second grade (Blue Birds) through high school) Horizons. I am very grateful for all my CampFire leaders where I learn to value people and nature. After high school, I went on to attend a community college. In 1975, I graduated from Chico State University majoring in Liberal Studies. Years later, I returned to school and received a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential at Sacramento State University in 1983. I've taught elementary school children for 13 years and adults 4 years for the Department of Corrections. Now retired and living in a rural community on the east coast, I enjoy writing and the outdoors. I am blessed with four beautiful children and seven grandchildren. Read More Read Less
