Paula A JohnsonDr. Paula Johnson is a Clinical Associate Professor of Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences at Purdue University. She gained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the Louisiana State Universiy College of Veterinary Medicine, undertook a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Rotating Internship at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, and completed her Residency in Emergency and Critical Care at the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Veterinary Medicine. Her clinical interests include management of trauma and critical care cases, transfusion medicine and ventilation therapy. Dr. Johnson was instrumental in establishing the ECC service at Purdue and continues to support and nurture the program. Dr. Johnson has long had a passion for teaching and providing mentorship for students, interns, residents, and practitioners in general practice and emergency practice.
