He has devoted his professional life to the study of Miami/South Florda history. Henry A. Green is professor of religious studies and the former director of Judaic studies at the University of Miami. He is the founding director of MOSAIC: Jewish Life in Florida Project, a traveling exhibit from 1990 to 1992 that led to the creation of the Jewish Museum of Florida. He is also the founding director of the project Sephardi Voices, a digital archive of testimonies, portraits, and photographs of Jews displaced from the Arab world, many of whom live in Miami Beach.
